I took a train to nowhere

A sign said:
“you are now here”

I’ve been going nowhere
for quite some time

which is impressive
because it somehow
feels like progress

now here

arrival
is a misunderstanding

Maps refuse
to know where

they mark now here
as “you’re here now”

But what I seek
is in nowhere
not hidden
not lost

I tried to know where I was
but to know
required a where
and where
kept dissolving
into now

I keep going

with confidence

now here
I am in nowhere

There’s a place
between now
and where
where things almost happen

I think I’ve been living there

and if you ask me
where I am
I’ll say
“now? here”

again

If you insist
you must know where

you’ll miss
that you are now here

which is precisely how nowhere works
